Today’s Reading is Lamentations 3:1-24.
The Book of Lamentations is the Megillah for Tisha B’Av. For liturgical used it is written as an Acrostic. For easier memorization it is printed in subsections named after the letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

Then Governor Schwarzenegger even referred to “lamenting”
when sending his reply to Assembly Bill 1176:
