This week at church we had a 25 year old die from a blood clot. Also this week, a colleague’s 13 year old godson was killed in a school bus collision. The question of God’s justice was frequently raised: How can an all-powerful, all-loving God let this happen?
Also this week, I received the newsletter from the Karl Barth Society. In it I found a link to Christiane Tietze’s lecture on Barth’s reflection on God’s justice when he faced the death of his 20 year old son. Here it is:
