President Trump calls for Ukraine and Russia to “make a deal.” President Trump is always about making deals because then he can avoid hard decisions. President Trump wants peace during his second term in office. The problem is, he will make that happen and in the process make the world a much unsafer place.
Since Russia’s attack, the USA have supported Ukraine’s claim on all its territory. By calling for a deal, President Trump forces Ukraine to surrender some or all the Russian occupied parts of its country. That will bring peace in the short term, because fighting will cease. But once President Trump leaves office, Russia will have learned the lesson that invading neighboring countries is a valid strategy to increase its sphere of influence. In 2029, there will be another westward push like the world has seen in Georgia and Ukraine.
Trump will be the Prince of Peace. The cost of that peace is much too high. If you want real lasting peace, you must support war now.
