What makes a Prophet?

Looking at Elisha you will find prophets to be political radicals. Elisha repeatedly saves King Jehoram of Israel, yet dissuades him from killing the Syrians and instead instructs the king to prepare a feast for their enemies.
– Prophets never speak conventional wisdom, they are not conservative.
– Prophets always challenge the status quo, they are progressives.
– Prophets are always highly political, there is no separation between politics and religion.
– Prophets never hold public offices, there is a total separation between church and state, that is prophecy and order.
