Today’s Reading is Matthew 6:1-18.
That was also the sermon scripture a couple of Sundays ago. For preparing that sermon I used:
Richard Wagner is proud enough to write a book about how one can pray and he is humble enough to admit that the Lord’s Prayer in itself is a perfect blueprint for our prayers – the original Praying for Dummies. He walks his readers through the most common excuses not to pray, promotes the ACTS structure for prayer: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication and many more useful things.
As with every dummies book the most useful page is the Cheat Sheet. What I did not like is that most of the reference to online resources were totally outdated. After all Christian Prayer For Dummies
was published in 2002.
