Cheerleading Nuns

Basketball fans in Sassari – Sardinia’s second largest city – were recently treated to a special halftime show. A group of nuns, monks and priests performed a routine to disco music while wearing traditional robes and habits. The group is on a tour of Italian discos and nightclubs to spread the message of Christianity to young people.

religious state of the blogosphere

The 2008 State of the Blogosphere is out. Among other things Technorati is taking a look at the most popular topics, finding out that three-quarters of bloggers cover three or more topics. 19% of all blogs cover religion/spirituality and 16% cover sports. Religion beats sports. That is hard to imagine compared to TV ratings. Is the blogosphere really that different?
